#07: The Righteous Requirements of the Law (Rom. 2:25-29)
Scripture: Romans 2:25-29
Paul shocks the Jewish believers by announcing that keeping the ritual aspects of the law (such as circumcision, dietary laws, observance of feast days and sabbaths, etc.) and mere outward obedience are not the means by which believers please God. God wants “circumcised” hearts, which even Gentiles can have, if they live righteously. Pastor Hollandsworth applies this to 21st century believers, noting our obligation to keep the righteous requirements of the law.
